Lots of Progress!

So far, I have done a lot of learning in PHP and have made a lot of progress in building up parts of the website, as well as using some very useful add-ins. I have started using PHPBB, a nice piece of software that lets me implement a nice looking forum without much design from myself (though it is very customizable). I find more and more how much I love open source software!

Check out the site, and look at the Art part that I am trying very hard to complete. There will soon be a gallery available to display all the most recent artwork. With this add-in, I have used LightBox, an image viewing plug-in that brings up the artwork, full-size, in a lit-up front while the rest of the site is dimmed to bring focus to the pictures. This part is being implemented under art.foundryspot.com/gallery.php?page=1. So check it out!

Thanks for all my viewers out there!

It's gonna be a hard push

Well, It's been over a month since I got to school, and the going has been slow. I'm hoping to catch a break and get some real progress on the website. Perhaps some crazy inspiration will hit me on friday evening!

School Hit Hard

It took me forever to get internet at my house. I only just got it last thursday! So between times, I have been bogged down by school and new home settling. The over all data holding will be coming soon, so that people can upload their literary work, at least, onto their profile. More to come one this soon! Thank you for your patience!

Slow going...

I've been trying to get my internet hooked up at my house for near a month now, and it's still not coming along. Once I get that going, development will be much more swift, and perhaps a new update will be available! I am still getting the data source worked out, though I believe i have a good idea on how it will all work out. Keep giving ideas!

Closing On My House (In BLACKSBURG!)

Currently, I am sitting in the CS department offices, waiting to talk to my advisor to clear up some semester scheduling. Then, my family and I will be closing on my new (and first) home, a nice three story town house where I will be living with best friend and his sister. But now that I am back in town, I am very much considering all the ways to promote the website and get ideas, so that when the grand opening arrives, I might open up to a large and eager audience! Ideas for create promotional methods are needed! In fact, I've been thinking of giving a prize to giver of the best idea! More to come on this idea later!

Birthday Upgrade!

I know that the website has very minimal features, but I'm FAST on track with getting things rolling. I'm posting a slightly more upgraded version of the website (still minimal features) with a few slight tweaks. I was working on this on my birthday, so it HAS to show how much I love this website. Cheers all!
